PAF Intellect'14

Coming back from LUMUN, I logged onto my fb account and was surprised to see the launch of an event, PAF Intellect. Out of nowhere, our science society had decided to host an Olympiad.
18 January seemed too short a window for organizing a mega event. A hundred questions came to mind related to as to how the event would be held and I will be honest, I had my reservations.
Fast forward to 18 January. Upon reaching the school , I was pleasantly surprised to see the numerous delegations waiting. Delighted to see that the hardwork of marketing department had paid off, I was excited to see how the event would unfold.
The surprises were to continue. Firstly, the events that had been selected deserved a praise. The six events that were  Investigar la Infección, Eulermathecia, Invention Galore, Aerodinámica, Science Quidditch and last but not least, Mecanno Minds thoroughly tested the understanding of scientific concepts and intelligence possessed by the participants ensuring that a high academic standard was maintained.
Witnessing the great minds of tomorrow at work and team spirit in action, I felt proud to be a Pafian. Proud to be part of the team that had defied all odds and ensured that not only the event happened, it was a great success.
The highlight of the event was surely, Aerodynamics where water-rockets were prepared and launched. This competition attracted so much attention that other events had to be delayed as all the participants gathered around to watch this fascinating event.
Gathering teams from all over Karachi, ensuring that they went satisfied and concluding a mega-event is no easy task, and I take my hat of in respect for the Science Society Secretariat, the brains behind the operation, Sarmad Pirzada, Rahim Rasool and Misha Aftab Khan.
