The most complex complexity- WOMEN! 

Women. God’s most complicated creation. Conceived the same way as us men, with 23 pairs of chromosomes and with the basic DNA formation, what makes her so difficult to understand? So today I, a 17 year old lad, if not lying then 18 year old will take a shot at understanding this genetically XX determined creature.

Starting from the most vital role she plays in a man’s life; being his mother. The woman, who gives him birth, brings him into the world and nurtures him till the day he needs her to.

  "The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new." ~Rajneesh 

The one person who cares for him the most on the planet is her. The reason is simple; the child is a part of her. It can be pretty annoying having her walk around in circles behind you, worried, that you might need her, when you are independent enough to nail it yourself. But what we really miss out is her undying love that refuses to fade away with time and space. She scolds you too. Even beats you up in South Asia; because she wants to make sure you don’t hurt yourself. It’s rather silly, beating up your child so he doesn't get hurt from the world. But the bottom-line is, a mother’s beating is a token of love and is only meant to make you stronger, so cherish it because there’s a mother for every child but not all stick around.

And then you grow up. Come out of your mother’s caresses and see woman as rather woo-man. She appeals to you. It’s either infatuation or lust but in simple words she becomes attractive to you in a very non-platonic way, and you like it. You confess your love to her and she is indecisive probably because one of your kinds didn’t treat her well. But once she is sure about you, you mean the world to her. And then comes the misery. She talks her heart out to you and eats away your brain. She empties your credit card and is doubtful about all your female friends. Irritating, isn’t it? But if you look beneath all the gloom, she’s just afraid of losing you. Considering herself not good enough for you. So concluding, make her feel she’s irreplaceable and you are good to go.


The woman that can’t understand YOU is your daughter! You look out for her, protect her and don’t want her to fall for the kind of guy you were like in your days. She’s young and juvenile and thinks you are over-doing it. And wants you to believe that no matter who she’ll be in love with, you’ll be her first ever hero. So give her that space she needs. Come on! She is YOUR daughter after all.


Hence, bringing it to a close. I believe woman are less complicated then we blame them for. Actually we just fail to accept that they are very important to us and our existence is incomplete without them. But still, remaining loyal to my kind I confidently believe that women cannot be understood.

Is a world free, of the senseless violence and carnage that has plagued human life since the dawn of time possible? 
This has been a favorite question for philosophers and thinkers over the ages.

If one were an extraterrestrial being, able to peer through the mists of time and take a cursory look through human history, since the time of our barbaric hunter ancestors to the modern iPhone wielding hipsters. It would not take long to realize that the story of humans is a story of progress. Admittedly it’s not all a fairy tale, with long bouts of utter depravity and retardation, but on the whole humanity has come a long way. We wouldn't fault our fictitious alien friend for concluding that this is a species hell-bent of exterminating its own.

But such is not the case, modern man doesn't lash out in belligerent outrage if someone takes a look at his mate, but such behavior would have been quite normal in prehistoric times. It might quite possible been have grounds for a feud between two tribes that would go on for centuries. Such actions do seem ridiculous today. And if we compare the violence rate of today and times long gone, according to anthropologists like Steven Pinker, violence has decreased over the centuries, as tribal battles were more frequent and bloody than their modern counterparts. It may seem delusional to say this, as we still are reeling from the atrocities committed by Hitler and Mao but no matter how counter intuitive it may seem we are becoming more gentle and civilized. No matter how much the Karachi-ites may disagree!

Soon enough we will unlock the power of nuclear fusion, a limitless source of energy. We have been successful in eradicating Smallpox one of the most virulent diseases in history and the list seems to be growing. Coupled with genetic engineering and robotics there is no end in sight for human development. Spatial constraints restrict me from elaborating the nuances but I think it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that a utopia or something closely resembling one is quite possible.

In just three weeks after the starting of the Academic Year 2012-2013 The City School PAF Chapter community had something to be excited about. The City School is very well known to enroll most active students and the enthusiasm showcased on 24th September, when students enjoyed campaigning for their favorite nominees, clearly seconds that. This year would truly be cherished because all the candidates gave a tough time, from the nominations to the final selections, from the campaigning to each and every stage the Election Fever. There were total of ten nominees overall for the post of School Head (five for boys and five for girls).

 “I had a really tough time selecting nominees but whether they lose or win, they will surely be given credits for making it this far, being selected from so many is an achievement on its own.” - shares the principal Ms. Shireen Karamally. The three-day Elections initially started on 20th September (Thursday) when PAFians caught the first glimpse of nominees in their own words. Each had something strong to say about themselves, they excited the audiences with powerful speeches and to top it all off they expressed their views in the most charming manner. Most of them gained supporters then and there.

The official campaign took place on 24th September (Monday) and so the corridors were filled with flashy poster, badges and banners. The last two periods were primarily kept for campaigning but the preparations had begun long before that. Students thoroughly enjoyed every minute of campaigning with badges, well thought-out slogans, flash mobs and creative ideas all over the place. Indeed there were positive signs of good sportsmanship. Facebook proved to be an excellent source of additional campaigning and further added to the entertainment.

The 'flooded' ground as the rallies carry on.

Voting took place on 25th September (Tuesday) where through a systematic, sophisticated and an organized way students filed in one by one and cast their votes. By the end of the day Mehraz Khan & Zeest Hassan and Ali Makati & Anusha Khalid had something to celebrate about as the well deserved candidates were elected as the Heads and Deputy Heads of the school. 

The “Three-Day” Elections were sealed for the academic session by Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected student government. The heads , deputies along with prefects and society heads took promise to not only fulfill their duties and responsibilities with full hard work, dedication, determination and honesty but to give back for all the life changing moment this great school made it possible
