Remember that nursery rhyme that you used to sing in school?
Insy was quite a determined little spider - wasn't she? She
was washed away by the rain, failed at her task, but didn't let her spirits
dampen. She shook off the water, waited for Mr. Golden Sun to shine again and
steadily trekked up the water spout once more.
Failure is imperative. Inevitable. It's one hurdle in life's
obstacle course that you can't jump over. You have to face it and yes - it will
hurt you. Side effects may include depression, the intense desire to dig a hole
and bury yourself in it and the desperate need for a time turning device.
Failure doesn't choose it’s next victim. It's like a bolt of
lightning. If you happen to suffer the misfortune of standing at the point it's
going to hit, then you should brace yourself for a massive blow. It hits you
straight in the gut, leaves you writhing in pain and when the pain subsides,
you're left in denial.
You suffer. Period.
And slowly and gradually, the gaping wound clots and weaves
itself closed. Time heals you and the golden rays of sunlight sparkle once
more. Soon you're ready to march forward on this obstacle course that we call
life, once more; slipping, sliding, tripping but never faltering, never looking
back, and steadily forging ahead, just like Insy. :)
I've failed over and
over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed. -Michael Jordan
