sun, sea, rain and you

By
Warda Imran

Let the tides crash across the sky,

the salty spray glittering in the sun's shine,
Let the winds blow our sorrows by,
Stealing all sadness and pain of mine.

The water kissed my feet,
As it swept across the sand,
The point where the bay and sea meet,
I gently find, and hold your hand..

Walking besides this beautiful bay,
I'm out of words, what could I say?
In the warm and windy month of May,
In this moment, forever I could stay..

Do you feel that?
Rain drops on my skin,
As I try to take the beauty of the moment in,
Staring at the sea, sun and rain, I sat.

You reached and gave me a squeeze,
I nudged you slightly with a tease,
I put my head on your chest,
Finally feeling comfortable and blissfully at rest..

As we sat there, starting in each other’s eyes,
I realized here, in these eyes, my heaven lies.
And as the moon comes up, perfectly round.
I look at you, the perfect one for me, I found.
