Gotham City

We often hear people complain about the inflation, escalation of immorality in the society and their inability to effect the situation. To think of, these complaints are a mere result of pessimism brimming within us, which in turn leads us to believe that we are incapable of changing the circumstances; vices are simply a by-product. Plainly because as we fail to take the initiative, others plan our doom and they act on their perspectives while we allow ourselves to become a part of their schemes.
In today’s world calling ourselves optimistic has become the new in, while what we fail to observe is the over-powering darkness within us. Fail to complete an assignment and we exclaim, “Oh we are so dead today!” Hundred dead in a bomb blast and we all wonder how they managed to count the dead so quickly. We may express such thoughts as an attempt at sarcasm or humor; however, these are minute changes within us which transform our souls from Dr Jekyll to Mr. Hyde.
I believe that small changes can indeed alter our lives so comprehensively, so as to become the cause of hope amidst difficult times. A small voice, a short note, a peace walk maybe doesn’t affect our government or inspire an action but they do have an everlasting effect.  As W.Clement quotes, “There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative. The day we one act for the right cause, that is the day we learn the difference between right and wrong  That is the day we observe the pathway to change and that is the day we truly realize what potential we posses. After all it was the murder of one corrupt policeman that induced Guliliano to adopt the life of an outlaw and forever alter Sicily.

Yes, even I have been a victim of this contagious negativity since the very idea of change led me to quote a bandit thus emphasizing on war-fare. However this short note has also encouraged me towards realizing my potential, since now, I believe corruption can be eliminated if I abandon under-age driving. I shall hence, avoid bribery and I will ‘observe’ laws before denouncing them for their ineffectiveness. These steps may be rightly argued to be as effective as Tom’s attempts to catch Jerry. But we also need to realize that these failed attempts to become a source of fear in the adversary and after all if we are as optimistic as we believe ourselves to be, we do need to stand. In the beginning we shall be alone but examples of revolutions over a single act such as the Arab Spring go a long way for motivation.
We may even consider allowing our fates to be decided at the hands of superiors. It is a convenient option but to ensure preservation of our interests, and those of humanity as a whole, we cannot allow such decision-making. We only have to remember League of Shadow’s cure for Gotham to decipher the scenario.  To conclude, there cannot be more inspiring words than Batman’s, “In times of great stress or adversity, it's always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.
