Featured Pafian one point eight is how you might read it but I read it as Featured Pafian one point great. For those of you who don't know Waleed Sherdil (Pfft, who am I kidding? We all know Waleed Sherdil), he is the goalkeeper for Chapter's football team which recently won the KUSC cup defeating former the champions, Nixor College. Not only did the team win but Waleed was also awarded as being the most valuable player of the tournament. I guess most of you must have seen this coming since this is the man who owns the limelight right now. The man who brought us to glory. The man who made the difference. The man who was the difference. Our Facebook Newsfeeds are already flooded with 'Chapter ka dil, Sherdil'. And, it's time the blog caught up with him. So, without any further due I give you the man of the moment; Waleed 'The Wall' Sherdil.

Q. Firstly, congratulations on your win. How does it feel to know that you are a part of the team which took the trophy home?
Ans. Thank you. To be honest it feels great to finally get our hands on the trophy which was ours from the start. It feels great to win it for Hamza Khatri, his family and all the people that have supported us throughout the campaign. A special thanks to my team mates for helping me bring the trophy home.
Q. What were your sentiments as the penalties were going on, as they progressed and a tie kept emerging?
Ans. Hahah. Well, you will be surprised to know that I was not really under any pressure throughout the match even during the penalties. I had the support of the crowd and all the people watching at home so it helped me and motivated me to do well and keep my focus.
Q. And after you were able to successfully defend the final penalty?
Ans. I felt relieved after saving the final penalty which won us the match. I felt like this was the best feeling as my hard work had finally paid off. I am very grateful to ALLAH that I was able to save the penalty and win it for The City School PAF Chapter and for Hamza.
Q. How did you feel when you heard the crowd chant 'Chapter ka dil, Sherdil' from the stands during the game? And, how did you receive their admiration and love since after the victory?
Ans. To get this much support from the crowd was amazing. I had always dreamed of having a day like this where the crowd is chanting my name and I win the game for them. I guess dreams do come true. The crowd had supported us throughout, even last year, but this year has been special as the admiration I got after and during the match was amazing and getting to hear your name on TV 'Waleed Sherdil ney match jheeta diya' was the best. I would like to thank Ms. Shireen Karamally for allowing the crowd to come. A special thanks to Safa Ayub for providing me with her amazing commentary.
Q. You were the man of the tournament. Apart from yourself who do you think deserved that title and was a worthy contender?
Ans. Before the final I had not expected myself to become the MVP. I think if Nixor would have won, it should have been given to Sohaib Afridi.
Q. What inspired you to take up football and what has been your biggest achievement in the sport thus far?
Ans. Well I started playing football from the age of 8 after the 2002 world cup. My inspiration was Germany's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn who was the best goalkeeper of the tournament. All the children dreamed about becoming a good striker but i had other dreams that is why I decided to become a goalkeeper. I have been playing for 11 years now and being titled the MVP in Saturday's final was my biggest achievement thus far. INSHALLAH many more will follow.
Q. This is your final term in this school and it will be the last time you wear that kit. Just say a few words about how this run has been for you and what you expect from the team in the years to come?
Ans. For me this has been the best time of my life with the best team ever. From training to playing football to getting scolded by the captain to fighting with one another to playing in the finals of KUSC for straight 2 years running to finally win the trophy in the last match as a student of The PAF Chapter. I wish I had more time with this incredible team I salute all my fellow teammates, my coaches and everyone who supported us throughout these 2 years. I expect the team to just go forward from here and hope for the best in the future. INSHALLAH they will bring more trophies into Chapters cabinet.
