Pafians at ROTMUN 2012.

ROTMUN 2012 was an awe-inspiring experience. An amazing venture with its own flavor. It
had its own hardships, own goals, own levels and its own beauty.

It was one of the best learning experiences one could ever ask for. And I’m lucky enough to
experience such an honorable event in such an early stage of my life. But what was the ROTMUN 2012 experience all about? Well honestly, all the hype created before we had even decided to take part in the event seemed like ROTMUN is going to be no less than a huge massacre, stomping the weak and only the very best could prevail. But guess what, that’s what actually happened!

The topics which were allotted to us were none less than pure jargon. Something for which we never thought we would use Google. But as they say, when there is a will there is a way, and our amazing participants, along with our extremely capable heads proved that nothing is impossible, everything was achievable and in grasp of those who had the spirit to succeed.

The four days of ROTMUN at Carlton Hotel will remain alive in our memories forever. All the wrinkles on the forehead, sweat trickling down the face, mind swollen with immense pressure and the nose detecting the smell of victory, all senses used to be engaged altogether in order to do the unthinkable, the extra ordinary, to be on top and pave way for bringing the awards home. Yes, to bring them at PAF Chapter A-Levels.

Our delegation won Seven individual awards on the whole, with 4 honorary mentions and 3 best position papers. But who actually made it possible?

On behalf of all the delegates, I would pay my heartiest gratitude to the Heads of the Public Speaking Society, Namely Moaaz Sidat, Khushhal Nadir, Ramsha Wasti and all the amazing seniors who were there as role models throughout, their list goes on. It was because of their grooming mainly which made us beginners good enough to achieve what we actually did. And not to forget, our Headmistress Ma'am Shireen Karamally who was as strong as a pillar throughout.

The training which we received prior to the competition was the reason why we were able to
display our true potential to the limits. Looking forward to participate in upcoming events,
with the help of our heads and by the grace of God, we shall bring all the awards home, to
PAF Chapter A-Levels.
